The quadro 4000 & 6000 are both supported.

I believe the 6000 would outperform the 4000.

I have the 4000 on CS 5.5 and it is quite powerful.

I would have bought the 6000 only it costs much much more.

It’s a megabytes rounding issue.

Your disc build is likely fine.

the problem is, it’s too big to fit on a dvd without overburning, which is not recommended.

4.7GB for DVD is actually about 4.2GB on a burned disc

I know it doesn’t make any sense, but if you were to re-encode some of your
videos so they are slightly smaller file size, to get the “4482 MB” figure down to 4180, it will then
burn just fine. 4200 mb is the limit for burnable dvd.

You might actually be able to solve this by the audio encoding.

If you used uncompressed pcm audio, encode it with Dolby at 192kbps.
That will definitely get it to fit.

If you already encoded Dolby say to 256kbps or 448kbps, then knock it down
to 192.

well it sounds like they will not be offering a DTSHD-MA encoder
as part of media encoder. You were right Eric. 🙂

Also heard it doesn’t look like uncompressed pcm surround is
supported either.

If it helps anyone else, the DTSHD-MA encoder from DTS is $ 1,500.
A bit steep, but reasonable given Dolby TrueHD is $ 10,000 and
doesn’t include an embedded backward compatible core audio track
for profile 1 blu-ray players.

I did find Minnetonka offers a DTSHD-MA encoder that requires
you have apple compressor 3 installed, it only costs $ 249.

So those of us with Final Cut Studio2 can go that route.

it’s kind of an old school term, used back in the days
when Discreet/Autodesk (for example) used to issue me
a *smoke license every month, then at the end of our
service contract, when we didn’t renew it, they gave
us a perpetual license.

The Quadro 4000 is a great value and a workhorse with CS 5.5 / 6.0

It is definitely worth the extra cash getting the extra performance
over the GTX card.

When you render, you hear the little fans speed up. Fun Stuff!
