Is burn in really an issue anymore?
I’ve heard the 9UK is very burn in resistant though you do want it to be off when its not in use.
Hot pixels not covered under warranty? wonderful.
How many pro facilities out there like showing hot pixels
on their displays to their high end clientele?Thats hogwash.
At the very least they should offer a hot pixel warranty you can purchase as an option. -

$ 19,000 seems a bit high.
It looks like they are charging a handsome sum for the software itself though.
I was hoping it would be somewhere around 10-13 at most.

I’ve seen the avid version (lanshare) one of our tenants has one.
It connects over 2gb fibrechannel though and its loud as hell, sounding like a hive of angry bees cranked up over a theatre sound system lol.Does the edit share connect over fibre?
I know it does over 10ge.Anyone know the rough cost of the base model?

I don’t know that I would go that far.
HD-DVD is quite capable of a stunning picture that blows away the image of Over the air HD.

Thats exactly what I did and I’m glad I stuck with it even though I had doubts initially.

one thing to be sure, check that all of your graphics are at or near D1 resolution. FCP doesn’t seem to be able to scale images with bicubic quality which is completely absurd.

can you change the render preferences to render all 10-bit instead of yuv 32-bit precision?
Does it work then? or only in 8-bit?

I have sometimes seen ugly jaggies like this before with still graphics and I don’t know why.
What fixed the issue was rendering the still frame as an uncompressed 10-bit quicktime file.
The jaggies were gone completely.
I know it doesn’t solve the issue, but you can at least finish the job and have it look right.
