I just recieved an exact same drive (maxtor sata) as my main system drive and will be doing just that David (per your suggestion)

I had a drive failure last week (corrupted data and unmountable disk)
I tried that software your using and it took a long time and named all the files as you stated.
GET DISK WARRIOR NOW.
I cannot emphasize enough how great this program is.
It scanned the drive in minutes, found everything with names
intact and recovered them perfectly.its only 10 bucks more than the one your using now.

thats the best way imo.
I’ve been doing it that way and it works well.
But the icing on the cake is sending here an excel file
for her to note the timecode in and out points then import
it as a batch list and batch capture without hand logging. 🙂 -
maybe you should use mpeg stream clip to force the HVX clips to conform to 960×720?

whats wrong with the G-RAID2?
I’ve setup 2 clients with them and there has not been a problem capturing uncompressed sd 10-bit or playing directly from it when outputting to tape using firewire 800 via fcp.

why don’t you go from dvd through streamclip straight to 720P?
I’ve done this a few times.

and I’m running 5.04will I be able to import directly from the cards via the HVX200?

I’ve got the ATTO pci-e coupled via 4gb fibre to the Ciprico 4210, my speed disk test indicates it can easily handle 4:4:4
when I was looking to buy an array last year I told my sales rep that 4:4:4 dual-link SDI capability was a must, he advised the above configuration (over a year ago)
