Try setting an in and out point on the clips and see if your import button comes back.

From what I understand, Richard, you are correct. It has to do with the long GOP compression. When shooting at the highest resolution on the EX, the resolution drops during pans. The reason you don’t see it on the Z7 is because the resolution is already lower to begin with. I read this somewhere in this forum. Try doing a search for more info.

There is no way to physically sync the cameras. Just take along a photo flash and set it off just after you roll cameras. Then just sync to the flash-frame in your editor while enjoying the gorgeous rolling shutter effect.

I have Flix Standard and love the quality, but SWF files are limited to about 7 minutes. Is that the case with the Pro version as well?

Yes, the editing is pretty snappy, but it’s still takes an eternity to export through Compressor. On my MacPro, it takes about 3x the actual program length to make an SD Mp2, and that’s 1-pass CBR.

There was a white balance adjustment on the monitor, but it was very limited. I had it set to the warmest setting available.

It sounds like you have a legitimate problem, but one word of warning….
I’ve accidently hit my macro button a couple of times while shooting. As you can imagine, this plays havoc with your focusing, until you figure out what’s wrong. -
