Good luck, Dano. I don’t know whether it is just my camera, but, no matter what I do with the settings, the ATW can take up to about 20 seconds to react to changes in color temperature. Sony got it right in previous cameras, such as my DSR-300s. I don’t know why they felt they had to mess with it.

There is a new Microsoft TV commercial that depicts a mom & son shopping for a laptop at a Best Buy Store. They pass over the Apple machines and start checking out the features on a Sony Vaio. Both exclaim, “Oh, Blu-Ray!”
Perhaps this will cause Apple to wake-up. -

Has anyone called Sandisk to get their take on this?
There was also a rumor floating around a couple of months ago that Sony was changing something in their firmware to disable the use of these cards. Supposedly, if you took your camera in for repair, when you got it back, the cards would no longer work. I never heard anything more about this after the initial report, so I figured it was false. -

I’ve used one of their products to recover audio & JPEG files. I believe they make something for recovering video as well. It works on the Mac. -
Has anyone asked Sandisk why some otherwise identical cards are labeled Class 2 while others are labeled Class4?

I’m sorry to hear that, Rafael, especially since I also bought my cards from Amazon (Blu Proton). Which Amazon vendor did you purchase yours from? Were they bulk-packaged or individually packaged?

My Sandisk 16 gb cards actually are labeled Class 2. It looks as though the company recently downgraded the rating of their Ultra II cards, perhaps for marketing purposes.
