You can use Toast to burn your Compressor-encoded files without re-encoding. You just have to make sure that your settings in Toast perfectly match your file’s settings. Yes, you may use higher bit-rates.
I attended a demo recently of the new JVC XDCAM SDHC cameras, and the JVC rep said that ANY class 6 card would work. I wonder what is so different about the way the JVC records that they would support all class 6 cards
Yeah, and you can add ATW to the list of funky things. I’ve had to wait as long as several minutes for it to react after engaging it. I’ve seen the same problem on three different cameras, yet Sony doesn’t seem to know anything about it.

So, do you know what’s been changed in the later versions? There was a rumor a while back that Sony did something to disable the ability to use SDHC cards.
