I use AVS video converter. Would you recommend that from now on i convert the MKV files into AVI?

When you say ‘Backup’, by that, do you mean, just saving two copies? because i always do that. Or is there something else i should be doing?

Can i just say thank you all for helping! May not understand 100% but am getting there!

I’ve checked on process explorer again, and i only have one copy of vegas open. When i did print screen, i think i did have two copies open at once, one was frozen and the other one working.

I went to chkdsk c: /v/fm, and it started checking files, how do i check my individual HD files?

If i upgrade to vegas 9.e, is there a chance the problem will still persist?

    Sorry to be a pain!

I think i did that, i went to resmon, analyse wait chain, and checked the boxes, and Vegas just closes. Should i be doing something else?

Am a bit confused, i used the setting that you’ve given me (thank you for that) and set the markers a/b, but how do i save it? Probably something obvious that am missing!
