I’ve been working on sony vegas all day and its been fine, but when i came up open up an extisting project, it started to rebuild all the audio peaks again (SFK files) when all the audio files have been peaked already. This has never happened before. It not a big problem but waiting for 37 avi files takes forever. Is there a reason for this?

    Thanks
    Christabel

There have been a few threads complaining about this behaviour on other Vegas forums.
Was the existing project copied over from a different drive?
Unfortunately it’s not something that’s affecting everyone so there’s no known cure.
The good news (if you can call it that) is that, after rebuilding them a second time, Vegas seems to be happy.

    Hi, thanks for replying.

Well at least am not alone in this!!

My exisitng project/s haven’t been copied, they’re saved on my c drive and my avi files are stored on my external hard drive and they all show the SKF file next to them. So, are you saying that once the files have rebuilt themselves; the second time, when i come to open that same project again, all should be well??

    Regards Christabel

In theory, it shouldn’t happen again but keep in mind that this is a computer and I swear that they have a mind of their own 🙂

    Glad it worked for you.
I’m keeping my fingers (and toes!) crossed that it won’t happen again 🙂
