    Thanks for the responses.
BTW this was a gig I had already gotten, so the request for a formalized rate card was odd.
Per Mark’s reply, they may indeed have been looking for a discount. Which they got anyway
after I figured that out 😉

I absolutely get all this, and is pretty much how I have always operated.
I have always quoted a range and specifics when requested.
Suicide indeed, not to do so.

The rate card request does seem a bit anachronistic, and I was only recently
asked to provide one by a large corporate client. Probably how they did it
for decades! My question again is how to calculate day rates
based on a basic hourly, and when that day rate kicks in
as opposed to straight hourly. My understanding
is there is some benefit day vs. hourly. Looking for clarification there
and how it is all calculated.

    Thanks Ned.

    Fixed, apparently.
Traced the issue to a transition render.
    Deleted and added again.

I thought render files might be corrupt, cleared those also.

Thanks for asking, the screen message was a new one on me.

    Well, that’s good news!
FCP used to be really finicky about going up and down the versions.
Good to hear Avid is more forgiving.

    Thanks for the response.

    Direct importing fixed it.
First time for everything, I guess…
    Thanks!

    Yup.
Apparently the creation date on original had gotten changed to 1984(!),
and creating a new folder of course reflected the more current date.

Don’t quite get it, but that is what my research online indicated.

    I copied the folder itself.
    I was unable to open/access contents/rename
    the grey folder.

I checked the copy and everything copied properly.
    Much easier than anticipated!

    Permissions were fine.
I ended up just making a new folder and copying that folder into it.
    FIXED!

After researching online, this was easiest way to fix an issue with the date.
Other fixes meant coding in the terminal, this was much easier.

Issue arose after a power surge while working
out of this folder, which was fine just prior.
Finder showed this original being created in 1984!

    Thanks.
