iMac 27″ 32GB RAMWorking with 1080p H264 29.97 material
I AMA link and transcode to DNX145I have gotten the same format material on this project previously, all was fine.
Last 2 files that came in are throwing the attached error in playback.
Timeline starts stuttering, dropping frames, then will go black,
then the error message.This is getting pretty frustrating, as the same files play in Premiere just fine.
Ideas?

Since you apparently have Adobe Creative Suite…then use Adobe Media Encoder to transcode to DNX HD MXF OP1a. Then, back in Avid, manually select the MXF AMA plugin and CONSOLIDATE (not transcode).
Avid can be finicky about the file when linking. Sometimes its just a bad frame at the end of the file. If it works with Adobe, just use that and move on. You can pull all your hair out trying to debug it, otherwise.
