I jump between X (preferred), Premiere (second choice) and FCP 7 (please die) all the time. I’ll often keep X and Pr open (same media) at the same time when in Pr, as it’s quicker to audition Sound FX and find shots in X and go right to what i need in Pr. Honestly, FCP X is the best Premiere accessory you can buy. 🙂

I also own MC 8 and Resolve 12 though I don’t use ’em much. I’ve got Hit Film, and Lightworks too but I haven’t touched ’em in a long time.

No other CC stuff, I use Motion a little to make templates/generators for X and Logic for some sound design. Any Photo stuff I do in Pixelmator or Affinity and, believe it or not, Photos in El Cap with various extensions. 🙂

You need an Apple Pro App installed to install the Codecs. Though as Craig points out, Compressor would have worked.

Again, whether it comes from apple or not, the 1/100 number is wrong, or applies to something else. You can trim audio a sample at a time, and do a 3 sample fade if you want in FCP X. As has been pointed out, Pr can zoom in closer at this point. But I can certainly cut on a zero crossing in X, I do it all the time.

Easy. Select all your current keyword collections in the browser. Select all (or some, whatever) of the clips that are then displayed displayed in the browser. Apply a new additional keyword(s) to all the selected clips.

David, in the interest of accuracy, would you consider another edit, pointing out that the statement above regarding FCP is incorrect? X and Pr both allow you to edit at the sample level.
