Can’t say I disagree, hopefully Apple is listening. I like the workspaces. The rest of the UI? meh. Obviously personal opinion…

[David Mathis] “It has been too many months since the latest update to Final Cut which has me a little concerned.”

I wouldn’t worry too much about that. On the other hand, as Andrew says, give it a try, not like you have to spend any money no matter what you decide to do. 🙂 Personally, tracks and bins and tabs make me want to scream these days, but YMMV of course. 🙂

[Oliver Peters] “It may be a combination of both. What AMD told me was that on the 12-cores with dual D-700s, when you are running at full blast, the combined CPU and GPU heat load is too great under the normal ambient temperatures that you’d find in a typical air-conditioned edit suite. Clearly it’s not just one production that has had this issue, as it’s a known problem at least to AMD. “

Makes sense… Yeah, some pretty cool (pun intended) mp enclosures/racks etc at the show… 🙂

[Oliver Peters] “Hence the heat issue.

Take this with a grain of salt, but, regarding Deadpool MP meltdowns, some of the team believe it’s a computer issue, but some are just as convinced that it was caused by issues with the Beta versions of PP they were running at the time. FWIW

[Herb Sevush] “And knowing the meeting existed and where and when it was being held and who could attend.”

You’re right, and I’m not sure why the FCP Works schedule wasn’t posted here, it’s on the usual FCP sites of course as Oliver mentioned. I should have probably posted the schedule here, as I was “presenting”…. but I wasn’t really sure what I was gonna “present” so I didn’t.

I did get to see the Apple presentation and learned that they are working on stuff and appear to be listening to user feedback. 🙂
