That’s where we were looking, Frank or I neither can find it. There is a long list of tools in the drop down menu, but not the ones mentioned. What category of tools would they be listed under? Are we missing something?

Recording wise, they are not that different in quality.
Digi-Beta using a Sony Camera will give a better look than a DVCPro50 on a Panasonic Camera.
Price: DVCPro50 considerably cheaper, thus the quality difference in Camera.Charlie

Get ready, I just got AE, so I am a dangerous old man with a new toy, drooling to learn new things, and you are the new teacher.Charlie

I am a firm believer of dance with who brung ya to the dance. My Avid is on a MAC, Macs don’t like me. I have reached a point that my Mac doesn’t crash as often as it did, but anyone who says Macs don’t crash is living in a fantasy world. I am comfortable editing on my Mac, but I am a PC guy so would prefer it on a PC. I also have Vegas Video on a PC, I like it for some projects. I just got Premiere Pro in the Adobe Video Collection Professional, I needed After Effects, so got the whole package. I am not yet comportable with Premiere, but can see some things it does well.
The point I am making is Mac, or PC, it is your choice, pick which you are more comfortable with and go that direction.Charlie

OK, I feel really dumb, I can’t find the ruler tool or the measure tool. I have a brand new off the showroom floor model of Photoshop CS, we also have versioin 7. Can’t find it in either.

[Ron Lindeboom] “end it’s a matter of luck.”
Exactly what I figured.

[Ron Lindeboom] “It has over 11,000 loops in it, which includes 3,900 drum loops, alone.”
OK, I gotta know.
When you want that one particular drum lick, how the heck do you find it within the next 6 months listening to that many loops?Charlie

[Jon Zanone] “I’ve not had a single problem that tech support didn’t, couldn’t or wouldn’t fix.”
See?
Another satisfied with Avid Tech support customer. I’m not alone!!!!!!!
There are others that appreciate those guys, and I personally wish I could tell everyone of them, again, how much they helped me when I first started using Avid. They Rock. (Almost as much as the COW)Charlie

[Chris] “We also felt as if Avid treated us poorly throughout our ownership because we didn’t shell out at least 60 grand for a higher end system.”
I still find it hard to believe that people have had such bad support from Avid, especially jsut because they didn’t have a top of the line machine. My experiences have been very enjoyable and we also only have an Express. When we had a media drive go out I had a new one the next morning, and after 3 years, (still under warranty).
The guys at tech support told me one day that they talked about me and everyone there liked me, hmmmmmmm could this be a reason for bad support? They don’t like the way THEY were treated? Just a possible observation.
I personally commend the guys at Avid tech support and take my hat off to them, that is not an easy job dealing with irrate clients under pressure.
