You might try Evans & Southerland a Utah based company that builds computer created sets and other simulated graphics. they are very good and being a smaller comapny might be more what you are looking for. They can do wonders with computer and live action projects. I worked with them at NAB about 7 years ago.

Another possibility would be to contact Adtec Digital they might give you teh use of one of their mpg players for promotional consideration. Talk to Ron Johnson, tell him Charlie King recommended you call them.
These players are automatic looping. Will run all day and night and keep going, they also will automatically reboot and start playing after a power failure.

I have used many small turntables, and they come in different speed models, usually from 2RPM-4RPM. They are available from display companye. Also come in different sizes to handle different weights.

I have worked many times on a hold of time with cancellation deadlines. 48 hour cancellation, you pay full price. 70 hour cancellation is half price, and I will make calls to allow other clients to have that time for half price. (Most clients are not that adverse to paying half price if down the road they feel they might get an offer for half price.)

Yes, not sure what that would accomplish but tried it.

I count to 4 from setting to releasing, but my internal clock seems to vary just enough to not work everytime. Forget what my best score has been.
