Photoshop-AE Compatibility
Posted by Charley King on February 23, 2006 at 7:08 pmThis is really strange.
Graphics created in Photoshop CS2. Beveling, shadowing, coloring, shading added.
Import into AE 6.5 graphics come in white.

February 23, 2006 at 7:21 pmIt’s possible that PS CS2 is newer than 6.5, so there may be issues.
Did you try saving a copy with the effects turned off?
Is the little white RGBA button switched off at the bottom of AE’s comp window? -

Must Be. Even tho I got them as a package.[Steve Roberts] “Did you try saving a copy with the effects turned off?”
Yes, not sure what that would accomplish but tried it.

February 23, 2006 at 8:24 pmSave the files with the “maximize compatibility” (in the preferences). On a side note, unless you rasterize your effects, not all of them will come over to AE. It knows only a few of them and e.g. the bevel/ contour is not part of that set.
