[Rafael Amador] “VLC Player have no export options.”
I suppose I meant to say “transcode” options instead of “export” options. They are there in VLC. Any time I’ve “transcoded” anything, I’ve expected an “exported” file as a result.
However, as I agreed with Shane, MPEG STREAMCLIP is a better and still free resource for this task.Chad Brewer

Or you could mess around with VLC Media Player’s export options which is also a freebie download, but if I recall, MPEG STREAMCLIP has more export options.Chad Brewer

Rendering, rendering, rendering. Everyone is always complaining about rendering times – even on their dual quad Mac Pro’s. I like to think of rendering time as a time to reflect on parts of life that are NOT related to video.
By the way David, can the hokey pokey be advantageous in other aspects of video editing besides renders? If so, I’ll certainly get a small circle of people together..

Right Arnie, if Ron is paying all this money for a film to HD transfer, he could tell them his system is allergic to avi’s and make them figure out how to give him an uncompressed HD Quicktime if it is not confirmed that a Blackmagic avi will import, but I think it will. But also, last time I thought something would work, it obviously didn’t.

I think it’s more of a codec issue than the hardware you’re using (Kona 3).
FCP lets you import some avi files and not others – I believe it has to do with the codec that is used to make the avi files. I’ve had success with bringing some avi files into FCP and not others. I would believe that FCP would like an avi if it were wrapped with a Blackmagic codec.

If you want them exactly how they are now in your sequence with effects, etc., export the sequence to a Quicktime. If you want stills without transitions, refer to my last post.

Seems like you have them in perfect order on your timeline. I would change each image in the timeline to 1 frame in length and then export the timeline as an image sequence which will give you a still of each frame. Is that what you are trying to achieve? A still of each image in your edited sequence?
