yeah yeah, i can be a dumby sometimes. The BM DV “codec” I was looking for was named so by a previous editor who set up FCP HD. Found the RS-422 as well. I’m all set…sorry if you wasted your time reading this.

Did you leave FCP running and the project open when you said good night?

Sounds like you’ve got Auto Render checked in your User Preferences > General and it did just that overnight.
