I do. Actually the problem goes deeper that this.
Someone told me today that maybe the problem was that I was building the Avid MediaFile folder on my own and that I should let the computer do it.
I just tried to do it: got a totally empty disk without any files on it; compressed on ExFat and with R/W permission and opened Avid. I went to Media Creation and just like before the only drive the program shows me is the internal drive of the computer.
Any suggestions on what should I do to fix this?

    Hey David,

It wasnt my choice, I’ve been editing lately on Avid but the owner of the project asked me to do it in Final Cut.
Would it but much easier on Avid?
    Thanx for the input!

    Very good point, Dmitry.
I’m mostly trying to get to understand better this grading job, so it’s great to hear opinions of more experienced people.
Are there any books on color grading, or even more generally on color that you would say it’s a good basic to start from?
    cheers and thanx!

The convertion to 25 fps was on purpose. The objective of it was creating slow motion look.

Thanks for the tip on the codec. I’m going to try some more but maybe that will be the best after all.
