Did you imported that module from a prior version of AE by any chance? Sometimes they go crazy when you do that, I tend to allways remake them instead of importing.

Yeah, sorry that we can’t help you on that but if you don’t mind, enlighten me, because I failed to see the connection.
You’re animating them within AE and then the game engine read’s the file? I undesrtood that the game needs single files, but what that got to do with AE? What do you mean by using as source?
Also maybe for any future interactions you may want to batch export them to PNG prior to the animation in AE. Then just replace as needed once any changes to the PSD are made.

Just make the footage 3d. and use the front, left, top view to position it where you want. Both AE’s 3d position and Element’s are the same. Once alligned they will continue to be so. If you animate anything else besides a camera, like Element’s particle origin. You’ll have to create a null to the particle Group (verion 1.6+ has a feature to help you with that). Also if you need masking check out the tutorials on matting capabilities.

July 18, 2013 at 5:40 pm in reply to: Masks/Alpha mattes on layers with collapsed transformations[John Cuevas] “I just made text layers with multiple blending modes, precomp, hit the collapse transformations and the blending modes within the precomp are still active?”
It loses blending modes the moment you assign a track mattes.
The workaround works but only for a single blending mode and it won’t be the exact same most of the time,
because it’s applied to the “grouped” layers blended result and not to the layers itself. There’s nothing to do but to apply a matte to each layer if you want to make it look exactly the same.
Edit: The set matte effect can probably help you there since the texts are continuously rasterized, you’ll have to pre-comp your matte, and apply the effect referencing the matte to all texts.

Hmmm… now reading Erik’s reply I noticed that I got it backwards. You’re applying the distortion in motion. Now I know for sure that I can’t solve the problem since it can be nothing related to AE. It could be just the way motion renders that distortion. These seem to be bad anti-aliasing lines, nothing more.
All I can say is. If you see things fine in AE and it plays fine in quicktime. It’s Motion messing it up.

Without seeing the base undistorted file and how it is being interpreted by AE I can’t solve it straigh away.
But you can try to blur the image a bit (half a pixel) add some noise on top of it all. Maybe blur it more and use sharpen so you get more colors around the edges so it can lessen the aliasing.
Are you using 3d and rotating or corner pin?

I don’t know any way of doing it automatically.
But unless you have hundreds it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes. I had to replace 200+ layers once, obeying some guides and it took 15 mins.
Are they the same (bitmap wise?). May I ask why do you need to switch formats?

Too vague of a question for a complete answer Jesse.
Convert the audio to values and map that to a timeremmap function of a clip.
How would I map it? well…there’s a lot more to it. Play it for how long? What happens when another bass hits? Is it full screen or do you overlap videos? It’s doable, but only to some extent.

Then no, there’s no easy way to do that within AE.
