If you strip the project down to just the road object, does it still flickers?

Render without arnold and lights and textures and GI. And start adding things along. I’m out of guesses by just looking at that.

Perhaps knowing which software it came from would give us a better insight if exists a better intermediate format to import from.
But nonetheless what you got was almost the same I get when using an old riptide obj importer (I just get some extra selection tags, maybe you could make use of that or not. Since they came from the same material, not sure you could use them as helpers to texture things.)
About the rigging part, there’s a lot you’ll need to separate in order to have just the right parts moving. But without too much thought I believe that splitting stuff and just animating them would be more straightforward and preferable instead of rigging. (At least for myself).
There is a pretty confusing (at first) way of, lets say, precomping stuff in C4D. Its called time tracks. (Have you heard of it?)
Essentially you can do succeeding linear animations and tie it all to a time track. Almost like you would pre-comp something in AE to later on time remmap the composition to create easiness at any part of the animation. So what I’m saying is that you could do a linear animation with PSR from opened to closed, link all that to a time track. Now you have a single track that controls your animation from 0% to 100%.

You wont be able to get that kind of control over Particular’s particles. You’ll need something more robust that could pass particles from stage to stage. I’m not sure AE has anything like that available for it.

Isn’t that governed by the text layer’s own alignment? Just change from center to right.

May 6, 2019 at 1:05 pm in reply to: Deep Glow on green screen footage causes transparency1- It should be applied to everything, just adjust the threshold to a more suitable value.
2- If by any reason you still don’t want to. There’s no way you can unmult the black from an image that has black in it without having it become transparent. Saving by masking.
I’m sure you know those two things, but I say it because the reason you’re getting trouble is that your pipeline is all messed up. If you want just some parts to glow, isolate those directly from your renderer. When glows look real they usually happen everywhere that’s bright.
I’d render stuff with alpha if possible, or luma mattes. Unmult works too but changing the blend mode to add is better when working with glows. Don’t exaggerate values and don’t forget to work in 32bpc.
Unless you post some pictures, what you’re doing does work. But it may not be optimal so without seeing I can’t say if you can tweak something or if you have to go back in the pipeline and render in another way.

Well, I’m not sure how you’re trying to transform them now. But that video only has those layers, turned 3d, displaced in the Z axis with a camera pivoting around a null OR a static camera and the layers themselves are rotating around a null. The only transformation that goes is them moving in Z while revealing with opacity. The rest is the perspective that originates from the camera’s FOV from rotating in Y while being slightly slanted in X and Z.

And? Do you want to know HOW to do that? Or is it a template that you bought and it’s not doing what it supposed to do?
I can see the difference between the two images. But I still fail to see what is your question.
