XP doesn’t care what kind of monitor you have. The relationship between the monitor and the computer is a function of the video card and it’s drivers only. If you have a video card that will support that resolution, it should work. If not, get one that will.

The way it works;
XP talks to the video card and it (in turn) communicates with the monitor. XP says “Here’s 16 bits of instruction and 16 bits of data in one clock cycle.” The video card says “OK, I’ll display it at X/X res.” It can’t though if it doesn’t have geometry coordinates for your BA resolution in it’s firmware.

With the proper permissions in your FTP account (on the ISP’s end) your uploaded files are available for you to drag and drop – or cut and paste into any other folder in your space for you to point to in your HTML.

There are a few variables to consider but the best short answer without going into those is an FTP client and your ISP’s ability and willingness to set you up with an FTP account on the server where your files are going. Most ISP’s will allow larger file up / downloads for legitimate clients.

Even with good bandwidth however, your files will take more time so planning for uploads when you go to bed or just late at night and having something else to do is best because internet traffic is not so conjested.

My “boss” won’t be that til January. I’m still just a student and am only doing test projects in AE to equip myself for the coming position.

If he want’s what AE can do, then he’ll need to provide it or find someone else to do the job. This is the only position I can afford to take in the matter.

We’ll see how it goes. Til then, I’ll just keep enjoying and learning about this incredible craft we ply.

I have the student ver of AE7 so until I check, I’m not sure what my upgrade options are and for the moment, my personal budget constraints allow me little.

In the meantime, I have played with blur and opacity options and found a suitable compromise for the test proj.

Looks like I REALLY need to talk with my boss.

Googled CC Composite and you don’t want to go there but did find Conoa and I’m no better off. (Visit their site!) So, I have my own workaround.

At the tender age of 63, I’ve been asked to produce a weekly TV broadcast and will make sure CS3 Premium is part of the package. That starts 1-09 so I have some extra time to learn more and prep, and can do w/o the effect til then.

Thanks for the response. I was hoping for another way to simulate this effect but I am assuming from your reply that there isn’t any.

Unfortunately, my boat hasn’t even left it’s point of origin yet and I live in a land-locked state.
