If you mean the physical monitor, well no. I have the Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW (Black) 20.1″ LCD Monitor. The stand is adjustable in the vertical direction and the monitor can be rotated 90 degrees. It does have a thin bezel like the Apple monitor but I can’t remember how thin the Apple bezel is.
The DVI, VGA, Composite and S-video inputs are great with PIP and side by side display. The Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW 24″ LCD Monitor adds Component inputs as well. All is switched from small buttons on the lower righthand corner of the bezel.
I have a XP PC connected to the VGA and my PowerBook connected to the DVI.
I love mine.

All depends on what hardware software you have. If you have the P6000 card that is 720×486 you could get the Transcoder QuickTime components from Media 100’s FTP site. However, I don’t believe the M100 clips will play back without rendering.
I you have a Vincent 601 card 640 x 480 your clips will go software when scaled up.
It has be a long time since I made the switch, but I dragged all my clips down into one M100 timeline. Exported it as a CMX3600 EDL, imported into FCP and dragged the clips from the newly created sequence up into my Bin Browser. I then batch captured the clips native to FCP.
You may just want to use your present M100 project timeline as a CMX3600 EDL so you just batch digitize just the clips you need in FCP. You could go back to M100 to pick up any other logged clips in a seperate M100 timeline.
This question has come up regularly for the past three years so you might want to do a post search including the archives.
I don’t know if you have XML support with M100 v8.2 so you might looked into that. I made the switch at M100 v7.5.

This is unconfirmed but the Avid Meridian codec is broken in QT7 from some of the posts I have read.
You may want to do a post search.

Setup you browser bin with the logging columns arranged the way you like them and export to a tab/comma/whatever delimited file and import into Excel or Access. Excel would probably be easier and then there is Filemaker Pro.
