I think you’re right… the help pdf for keylight reads:

(image above text in keylight pdf)
    https://img508.imageshack.us/img508/5803/2viewssp4.jpg

It can also be useful to view the Status and Source side by
side as shown in Figure 14 so that you can pick from one
while viewing the result in the other window.

Referring to the image above, in keylight, in allows you to see different ‘stages’ during the keying process. When I arrange AE with 2 horizontal views, whenever I try to view different stages per view, it just updates BOTH views to whichever I select in keylight.
I guess I should be asking how do i get each view to stay at which keylight stage I want to view for ‘that’ panels view in AE?

[Dave LaRonde] “Remember when you were a noob and you actually listened to the guys giving you advice?”

The original question that I asked was answered with 2 different methods, and that is what I asked for and am thankful for.
Ofcourse, there are many things that can be ‘easier’ or more ‘convenient’, but there was a reason that I asked for a method to do this in AE. Did you ever think that not everyone has an NLE? Or maybe those two methods mentioned above may be saving someone time when it ‘all’ can in fact be done right in AE in just a few seconds, render and be done with it, especially when just trying to export a SWF?
But don’t misunderstand me, I appreciate to you telling me how to do it ‘easier’, but was purposely looking for a method using AE.

Because I already have numerous comps in AE7 and would just like to use this one app. to do this loop. I dont think it is complicated at all, just can’t figure it out as I am not a AE guru, not even close.
