  • AE & PS possible to get AE to auto-update layer from saved .psd?

I’ve done a search, and used the best terms I could think of to see if this question had already been posed… whats scary is I personally think it is so common that it has, but I’ve yet to search and find an answer both google and here.

Is it possible (term ?) to have AE7pro automatically update a change in/on a layer if that layer was graphically changed in photoshop and then saved?

:exact example: I created a graphic with 3 layers, saved it as .psd. Opened AE7pro, imported the saved psd. Now with both AE and PS open, i make a change to a layer in PS, then save the psd (with same filename as the original still open in AE. Is there a button/tool somewhere to either 1)update that changed layer or 2)update the entire composition from the ‘newly’ saved .psd?

I’ve looked up ‘adobe bridge’ and the only ‘automatic update’ I see is for AE7pro (change) -> auto-update -> Encore, etc.
