    August 3, 2012 at 2:52 pm in reply to: How can I render A DVD – H264 MP4?

Hi Jeff, thanks for you attention.
the original project is 720×576 25.000 PAl 1,4568 (PAL DV Widescreen)

For a correct and best resolution possible in Sony AVC encode to MP4 (Is this the best option for MP4?) what will be the best settings?

    Thanks for your attention,
    Bruno

yes, its more a cosmetic thing…. Cause I have loads of minutes with nothing and I can´t reduce the timeline…. If there is no way to control the length of the time line itself after a project has been initially dropped there´s nothing to do… That was exactly what happened. I drop a 56 minute clip and now after editing I have a 12 minute film… If I can´t do anything, better not to think more on this subject. Any clue how to import subtitles exported from ARCHITECT into VEGAS? Cause there´s an option to export for Vegas use on Architect, but no import option on vegas….Thanks, bruno

No, there´s NOTHING AFTER the 12th minute. Between the 12th minute and the 56th there´s nothing. Timeline ends on the 56th minute. So, I want to delete (REDUCE) the timeline to 13 or 14 minutes, I just don´t want to have a 56 minute timeline when i´m just using the first 12 minutes.
Can I do this? Thanks, Bruno

that´s exactly what im saying. I have NOTHING from the 12th minute till the 56th minute and I want to reduce the timeline. Its not a case of trusting vegas smartness, its a question of having ONLY a 12 minute timeline. Is that possible? thanks, bruno

I tried your suggestions and I can not reduce my timeline. I just have clips at the first 12 minutes. the rest are empty. How can I reduce my timeline? I don’t want a 56 minutes timeline as I just have media files in the first 12 minutes. I tried select the extra timeline i don´t want and press delete but nothing happened…
    Hope you could help…
    thanks,

December 5, 2008 at 3:50 pm in reply to: DVD render ARCHITECT recompress 20min. film???

    hi,
that´s the error architect gives me saying its not an mpeg2 compliant file.
The only thing I change in my vegas render template DVD ARCHITECT PAL is setting to HIGH PROFILE, HIGH LEVEL and CONSTANT BIT RATE 9.000.
Do you think this alterations afect the mpeg2 for architect and he doesn´t recognise it as a mpeg2 compliant file?? I never use ntsc..
    thanks

I dont make modifictions in architect. My modifications are in VEGAS when using dvd architect template PAL. Inside I change some settings. Inside architect i just drag the files and click burn dvd. It always re-compress it…

i´m using DVD ARCHITECT TEMPLATE PAL mpeg2 when rendering from Vegas. Even thought architect re-compress my file (even a 2 minute file)…i cant understand what could be wrong… As i said i made some modifications in the architect template on vegas increasing bit rate and stuff…. Its the only explanation i can find…or not.. if someone could help i´ll be really appreciated. thanks.
