Thanks for the tip, the option was unchecked in the recording software, but even if the problem was this option, I imagine it’s already too late to fix the 200gb of footage. I’ll try keeping second copies of the footage.

I’m using PC, the HDD is less then a year old and i haven’t had any previous problems with it. Windows 7. AE 10.5 (CS5.5).
I tried to open the file in mplayer, media player classic, vdub and sony vegas.

Thanks for the tips, I’ve tried some of them out.
It’s definitely trackable, but the arm stretches and rotates a bit, so the photoshop method didn’t work. I ended up using curves/channel blur/hue-saturation adjustments and a lot of keyframes.

Hi!

Thank you for your repsonses, but it didn’t solve my problems for some reason.
I tried using hold keyframes just as you suggested.
AE still can’t render the frame belonging to the hold keyframe. It renders the one before and after it just fine.
And now that i’m using this method i got another problem: the first frame of the second shot has some remnants of the first shot, like if i was fading out the first shot.

I’m pretty sure i’m doing something wrong, i just can’t seem to find out what it is.

I want to “light” the scene based on the lightness of the rock so that the light looks more natural and uneven. The only effect that i found which can do this is glow, with ~50% threshold. But this method doesn’t work for this scene because there is semitransparent smoke flying infront of the rocks, which picks up the glow because it is lighter.

Ahh.. okay, there you go!
It’s on the second picture, where i create another keyframe with the same position values. There should be no movement since the two keyframes are identical to each other, but it still creates a loop for some reason.
