Hey Ron,
You suggested 1080i for shooting, but Craig says he stays away from 1080i because of the interlace-deinterlace issues. I plan to edit in whatever format I shoot in.

Effects>Video Generator>Boris>Vector Shape
Choose Oval Shape
Turn off Border #1
Turn on Border #2
Turn off Shape Fill
Keyframe Border #2 “Border Begin” to animate circle on mapBruce

I am using Apple DVD Studio Pro 4 and MAC G5 Desktop with 4 GB RAM. I finally burned my DVD disk and the looping function worked fine. The looping function just didn’t show up while using the simulator. This feature has worked for me in the past, so I don’t know why it has changed functionality.

I recently edited a show with all stills. Many photos flickered when I animated them in DV format. I noticed that if I changed the sequence setting from “odd field” to “none” all the flickering went away. Hope this helps.
