Francois, the best place to read reviews of this app is at the Apple Store’s app site itself. Read the reviews of those who have purchased the app. Read the 5 star and 1 star reviews to make up your mind for yourself.

Good luck and report back once you’ve started using the app to help those who are in the same position you are now.

  • Jeff, your correct, a limited number of formats, but this is what’s available.

    Video — MKV (H. 264), MP4 (H. 264), MOV (H. 264), WMV (VC-1, firmware 3.1 only)
Music — AAC, MP3, WMA, FLAC (firmware 5.3 and later), WAV (firmware 5.3 and later)
Photo — JPG, PNG, GIF (non-animated)

You can’t go wrong with the above formats. As to why you favor the Sony render engine…you might reconsider a change.

  • Jeff, it might be that your FireStick is choking due to the bit rate. You might try lowering the bitrate. Currently, the default it 16,000bps. Try lowering it. If that doesn’t help, try another rendering format. It those don’t work, do what I did, get a media box. They have a USB port that decodes just about any format. I have a Roku Ultra and I’m very happy with it.

    Let us know what works.

Randy, no where does this MSI Radeon RX 5500 XT MECH OC Graphics Card show it can handle 4K. Remember: “you get what you pay for.”

Try doing a search for a GPU that DOES handle 4K, as a start, then compare those GPU’s and their price. Lastly, read reviews of the GPU’s you’ve chosen to compare with.

    That’s my 2¢

Good luck and report back as to your choice and why so others can learn from your quest.

Jimmie, I see what your problem is…..you’ve rendered HEVC which is highly compressed. Try Main Concept/Internet 1080p. Click “Customize,” click “two pass,” then click the “Project” tab and click “Video render quality” and click “best.”

Let us know how that turned out with Media Fire results as in the previous post.

David, I’m glad I could help.

I want to thank you for posting your response. There’s been many times where myself and others who help, ask those who are having problems to post if a responder’s answer fixed their problem, but some do not respond, leaving all who read these post left wondering if an answer worked.

By those who help fix problems, is a learning experience for the next Vegas Pro editor that are stuck because of issues.

Again, I want to thank YOU David for posting your fixed issue.

    Regards,

    Bruce

David, it sounds like you, without realizing it, you downloaded a codec pack that’s interfering with Vegas’ codecs.

Uninstall your Vegas Pro completely and re-install it. I bet that’ll get everything back up and running.
