also i have seen this happen when you have the reference on your kona panel set to ref in and the ref frame rate you’re getting is different than your sequence frame rate…so just switch to freerun

are you easy setup settings correct?

better yet you should media manage your sequence. that will make a new sequence with everything offline, and a list of just the clips actually used in the cut…

we have this same issue, using blackmagic SDI to HDMI converter boxes. the issue seems to persist more in 23.98 for us. we just pull the audio 2 frames so it syncs on playback, then we pull it back for output… i’m in finishing to i usually only have 2-12 tracks to worry about…

is your sequence is set to anamorphic? it should be….

as Shane points out, FCP Certification is kind of one of those things where you’re not going to get the job over the other guy just ’cause your certified…

i gotcha…i can’t think of another way right now. maybe you need a new AE! 🙂

highlight all your current clips, make them one color. then drag your whole cap. scratch folder in the browser. sort by name. now anything uncolored with a duplicate name is a clip you already have, delete those.

seach for the effect on your timeline. do command f, type in ‘cross dissolve’ and find all. fcp will highlight all of them. then just delete.

also be sure to check on a broadcast monitor, you could be seeing some interlacing relating to your computer monitor vs. broadcast…
