The Lanc port on the canons works the same way as the sony, I use the same controler on either, you would need two as you don’t want to use a spliter. If you want a inexpensive controllers you can pick them up on ebay for $37

I’ve seen the exact same controller for sale at a major photo/video retailer for $150, I bought a couple of them a while back when someone stepped on my varizooms while I was breaking down my equipment, they were a tad bit cheaper then.

Your Cam may have hit a bad cell, glitch, or other corruption when it was trying to end the file when it ran out of space, if the data is good you can use recovery software to locate the files and transfer them to disk, just do a search for “CF recovery software + Video” you will find a bunch, just make a selection, they usually run $25-$60

When you say “a TV” are you refering to viewing it on a TV or for Broadcast??

Try using the cam’s wireless controller, should trip both cams

  • A simple search will bring up a bunch of sites like this
https://www.afreecodec.com/cd-dvd-cover-print/ which has software for labels and covers, etc. labels are suicidal on optical discs.
Like Vince mentioned, just about all printers that have disc print capabilities come with software for covers and print-on discs

If they want to assign it as a perference, fine, but defaulted the way it is, as it basically works the same in alot of adobe’s programs that have frames and panels, I use production premium and don’t use a shuttle, but I use mutiple screens and sometimes have two or more programs open, rather than change the focus of what I have selected, I can expand any frame/panel on whatever screen without selection just a mouse pointer.

Have you tried to capture with the H1 as a live cam via firewire to a computer? that will verify there is a signal present.

Both camcorders should be in the Play mode, setup properly, look under “Digital Video Dubbing” in your HV40 owners manual and “Recording External……..” in the A1 manual
Make sure the modes and formats are setup properly before connecting the camcorders via firewire.

Have you checked to see if the SDI Out is on in the camera menu?

What format are you trying to record? Have you tried it with straight HDV 1080i?
