connecting XHA1 to HV40
Hello all, i am trying to make a copy of a mini dv tape from one camera to another. When i connect the two together using firewire its seems nothing happens. I put the HV40 on “play” and the XHA1 on “record” but it will not work. It seems like the two cameras are not reading each other. Is there something I need to do in the menu to make the cameras read each other ? Thanks for the help !!

Both camcorders should be in the Play mode, setup properly, look under “Digital Video Dubbing” in your HV40 owners manual and “Recording External……..” in the A1 manual
Make sure the modes and formats are setup properly before connecting the camcorders via firewire.
