It’s just a matter of adding the right kind of port (real, integer, links etc) then renaming the port afterward so it’s obvious what it is for.

instead of opening the xpresso window just click on the xpresso tag then check out the Attribute Manager. The ports on the left side should all be there, it’s an easy way to change values without having to open the window all the time.

check out the Key Properties in the Attribute Manager and set the Interpretation L or R (whichever you want, left or right) to Custom

  • if you have the original file (illustrator/ Freehand/ Corel whatever) then just delete splines there, if you don’t then you have to delete the extra splines in C4D after import. On import I get a null with 17 splines as children, the eye-shaped bits are duplicated as seperate splines (Path 1 and Path 26 are in the same place for example) those you can clean up by just clicking on the splines in the Object Manager and deleting one of the two in the same place (some of the ‘eye’ splines are not closed so you will have to check that off). The other splines are all inside Path 18 so you have to be in point mode to select a point then do a select connected to get the rest of the spline then delete. The big ellipse only has one spline but the rest have either two or three copies in the same place.

Is your Cluster Type automatic? If so, perhaps if you set the Min Polys and Max Polys upward to reflect the greater number of polys…

looks like it would be difficult to figure out which is the right one for the text (and it probably would change some other text too) – unless someone knows which it should be, but!
the color of the selected axis is simple – Preferences/Viewport/Colors/Selected Axis – you could make it darker so the text shows better

  • …and it appears all the other inner splines are tripled, go into point mode and click a single point then move it a bit to see the point underneath, click that point and move it…

you are going to have to clean the eps up before you import it (or go through and delete them by hand in C4D)

  • all the ‘eye-shaped’ splines in the window are doubled you need to delete the extra copies
