the presets that are not emitters in their own right just work on what ever TP particles are in the scene (so they will work on your PStorms). You control which particles by setting which particle group (All if you want all of them) the preset should affect.

what do you want the sky to do to the object? Since sky is an object that surrounds everything it should affect everything. If you are using it like I’m guessing you are, use the Environment channel in the material(s?) that is on the one object you are looking to affect instead.

double-click and it should just load into the current scene

the simplest linking of rotation to movement is something like this

    443_wheelrotationbj.zip

With a lot more xpresso you can get this https://kevinxl7.com/Xpresso/4wd/
Unfortunately the file Kevin provides (written in 8 I think) rotates the wheels wrongly in 10.5 so here is a “fixed for 10” version I did (just moved the link from P to B on the xpresso on the wheels)

    444_allwheeldrivev2fixed410.zip

Someone has a complete solution (commercial, I think) somewhere but I don’t remember who or where it is.

There were plugins for the old particles. If you are working with TP you can do it by hand with xpresso but there are a number of presets you can access with the Content Browser (provided all the sets are there check out Maxon’s downloads if you need to). I don’t know if that’s as much control as you need but each preset has a wide range of settings and take note that the order that they appear in the OM is important, they are assessed top down. A crude quickie example.

Freeze State. It will give you morph target that is copy of whatever morph targets are at more than 0%

you could try a Fresnel shader in the reflection channel that will work if the pillar is alone but if you have pillars in the background their reflection would be strong all the way to the top.
Another way would be to have two pillars in the same place with compositing tags. One pillar to be seen by the camera and one with transparency with a gradient (so it’s transparent toward the top) that is only seen in the reflection.
