Have you tried purging every x number of frames in the secret prefs? If indeed this is a memory issue it might help.
To access the secret prefs press the Shift key as you select Preferences > General from the menu.
I see an earlier post from you relating to Motion Blur with the same project, depending on your settings this could demand large memory resources to render, particularly since the nested Comp is 6000 X 6000 pixels.

I’m going to agree with everyone else here, get CS5.5, 64 bit makes a HUGE difference in speed.

Dave is correct. There are only the keyframe types he describes.
However there are several scripts that change the easing behavior using the Graph Editor and some expressions.

Look at the on the DIUK menu for tools other than the ones for IK.

Maybe I don’t understand what you want but .. any reason not to use the Stroke Effect?

I agree with Walter, after processor speed, RAM provides is the most significant performance/workflow gain in After Effects.

You can compare the scores of models you’re considering with your current machine.

What I see is Motion Blur, is that what you’re referring to?

From the File menu in After Effects choose Browse in Bridge.
In Adobe Bridge navigate to the Presets folder, many have a visual and the text animation presets have a gif animation preview.
