I am a lover of CS4 . . . except for what you have just described … CRASHING …. This great program has this great flaw … what a shame … ADOBE must indeed fix this crashing problem in CS5 if it intends on maintaining a base of loyal customers.

I reboot every 2 to 3 hours, which has helped ….

I manually save, and I reboot every 2 hours… I know the frustration you are going thru, but this is the only solution.

Cut with the razor blade where you want the rate stretching to begin.

    – This is not the best forum to answer that question

    – What is your budget? You can spend from $50 to $2,000. Where do you fall in that range?

Sometimes when weird things like that happen, a simple reboot of my computer solves the problem. Just a thought.

Total Training and Class On Demand are the ones I use. I recommend them.

Class On Demand is owned by Paul Holtz, who has produced training videos for years. He knows what he’s doing. If you purchase the DVD, Basic Training for Adobe CS4 Production Premium, Tim Kolb will guide you step-by-step for easy learning curve.

I’ve never gone there (various sequences), but I think you might want different sequences if you had different kinds of footage and settings to work with.

    It is indeed simple.
    – Mark beginning and ending points of desired DVD
    – File / Dynamic Link / Send to Encore
    – Fill in the info window and it will you to Encore
    – Highlight timeline object, then set END Action to Stop
    – Click a blank area in the Project panel so as to de-highlight the timeline
    – Drag Set Title button to the timeline object

This is basically it. If you have trouble, I will be glad to give more details.

Just clear one of the two files … it’ll remain one file on your hard drive.

    I think he’s talking about 16bit audio.
