My company just bought me a new system with CS4 installed for the the express purpose of me learning to edit video.

Would anyone out there have advice in terms of getting real training on Adobe Premiere and After Effects (especially Premiere to start)? I looked at ledet.com but their courses keep getting postponed.

I’ve used Sony Vegas in the past so I’m not totally new to digital video editing, but I’d like to get a solid course or two under my belt for Premiere Pro, which seems infinitely more complex than Vegas.

Online instruction seems the way to go but I’m not sure if lynda.com has an extensive enough library of courses or if I need something more. I have a healthy budget (a few thousand dollars) to spend on learning Premiere and AE.

    Thanks!

Total Training and Class On Demand are the ones I use. I recommend them.

Class On Demand is owned by Paul Holtz, who has produced training videos for years. He knows what he’s doing. If you purchase the DVD, Basic Training for Adobe CS4 Production Premium, Tim Kolb will guide you step-by-step for easy learning curve.
