For something like a TV it’s often easier to just use a corner pin distort and forget about the green screen altogether unless something passes in front of the TV.

It will always leave a audio cut unfortunately. Once the content is locked I tend to turn off audio for the others and drag out the first clip audio underneath until you reach the next change in audio source. Makes mixing audio much easier later. More visual as well.

I can one up you on that. My high school yearbook actually says “Jimmy Page” embossed on the cover. The form asked how you wanted your name to read on the cover so I put down Jimmy Page.
And if that wasn’t cool enough, Pauley Perrette went to my high school.

The proper method in FCPX would be to add a black solid above the clip.
If you must put it on the same line as your clip, you’re going to end up with either 2 or 3 video clips consisting of L cuts and or disconnected audio.

Nope. FWIW it’s called the viewer and the event viewer now instead of canvas and viewer respectively.

So not 30 min, but 10 min on an old non accelerated Mac Pro. Seems about right.
