Yes, there is CS5 for Mac. Get the full production suite, it’s worth it, even if you get Final Cut later.

Where’s the nightmare? This is why we, as professionals, should be paid for our services. We deliver a quality product. They only paid $500 and then the reporter acted like it was a lot of money.
It looked like only one camera, so that is what you get, backs of people when they stand. It sounded like he didn’t record a bunch of stuff, so I’m sure he deserved the judgement.
WEVA has an insurance carrier for just such instances. You just never know when someone will sue you, but if you are in business long enough, it’ll surely happen one day.
I know someone who used another videographer’s video to show prospective clients. When the offending person ended up all over blog’s being slammed, he sued the original videographer for liable.

You are backwards on the info. The 7D did have overheating issues, not the 5D MII. This has been fixed with the firmware upgrade, so it isn’t an issue. I’ve shot all day with the 7D with no issues just last weekend.
I don’t know about the T3i. I would purchase the 60D. It’s probably about the same price as the T3. It has the 7D guts with a plastic body.

It looks like a swivel viewfinder, which is a good idea when shooting odd angles. I’m left eye dominate and always stuggle with using the viewfinder, so this might help us lefties.
What format does it record? I’m hoping XDCam instead of the pesky AVHCD.

I saw they made two versions of this gyrocopter. They say on their website that this is not for sale. I think they would make a bunch of cash if they would market this. But, I’m sure there is a learning curve.
It looks like it took some of the ideas from the Airdrone, that you can fly with your iPad or iPhone. 4 sets of blades to balance the lift and flight instead of 1.

I can dream can’t I? I was wondering why nobody has taken it past 60 fps 720p.

I’d also like the ability to record at 120 fps at full 1080p.

I just did a big concert shoot. The camera is not meant for quality audio.
I hired a sound recording engineer to record using pro-tools. We just did stereo for this project, but a multitrack recorder would be better. I know Zoom has a new recorder for recording up to 8 tracks at once. Only $400. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/600773-REG/Zoom_R16_R16_Multi_Track_Recorder.html
Another less expensive alternative is using the Zoom H4n for a recorder. You can record up to 4 tracks. 2 stereo from the board, two from external mics placed at locations for ambient noise like crowd cheering, etc.
That being said, I also recorded the opening band just using the on camera mic and the AUTO settings. I EQ’d the camera audio, brought up the bottom end and I was pleasantly supprised at how good I was able to capture the audio just using the built in camera mic. Not the way you should do it, but this was just an extra gift to the opening band and not critical.

I agree that if sony is charging this much for a card that has failed, they should gladly replace it in exchange.
I had problems with the SD adapter and SD cards crashing. My sony SxS card saved me. So, I’m at the opposite end with being happy with my cards.
The Nano Flash is a great solution, but not cheap. I would request the next upgrade on these cameras to include a “Dual Recording” feature, that would allow us the option to record to both card slots, thus having redundancy that we all need.
