lcd4video.com has some great deals on lights and other gear.

Glidecam.com (steadicam is overkill for realestate videos)

I think you are better off on a tripod for real estate. Not much movement needed. Sliders will give you that big budget look at a low cost and simple operation will a quick learning curve. Good steadicam shots don’t come quickly.

Zoom H4n has multiple inputs. You can then hook up the audio into your DSLR. But, your Zoom audio is much better than the camera.

Zoom also makes a multitrack recorder for around $500 for even more options.

It’s not going to be anything the high speed cameras. 60fps is the fastest you’ll get.

You could try a test shoot on something and export each frame into photoshop, re import those stills and increase the length of each still as you drop them onto the timeline. This is a shot in the dark.

Shane is right.

There is a “log and transfer” plugin for Final Cut Pro that allows you to import your 5D MII or 7D. This transcode to prores for you.

You’ll have to transcode the flipcam to ProRes.

But, once you log and transfer the footage into final cut, just drop it onto the timeline and the software sets up the sequence for you. You don’t have to mess with the settings.

Canon has the plugin on their website. It’s a free update for final cut.

Yes, I’m extremely happy with it. I only paid $899 and I’ve even done some After Effects projects on it. Now you could get a bigger version and it would make editing much easier.

Certainly you could get a higher end graphics card, etc., but for the price, I’m a happy camper. I’m a Mac guy, but I couldn’t justify spending over 2 grand for the same computer.

Yes, there are external drives that you can use to directly. I haven’t used any, so you’ll have to google it. Some even have preview windows.

Would I need to do some masking on the eyes. They are the only problem. I’ve color corrected the image and everything looks great, but she still has the devel eyes : )

It was just a short clip, so I cheated and converted it to B&W.

It was shot on the 7D. My EX-1 had the other angle and it looks fine.
Very strange, since I have never had this issue before. Probably because of the band lighting.

I didn’t want to get into after effects, but the tracking may just solve the issue.

It sounds like you had your attenuator / gain switch on the Zoom set to Low. I have been caught before with this. You can set it to low / med / or high. So if you have a low audio input, you should set it to high.

I don’t think it has anything to do with premier.
