64-bit on my MAC PRO?
So I just found out about 64-bit on my early 2008 Mac Pro 3.0, quad core, 12 GB RAM …I hold down the 4 and 6 number keys on/throughout boot up…but when I do this my trackball (Kensington) and keyboard (Bella) losses all their button functions and their apps say it’s 32-bit, need 64-bit drivers (I have to see if 64-bit drivers even exist).
So I wonder therefore, will every app I have that is 32-bit not run at all or in a weakened state when I boot up in 64-bit; is there a way to tell my Mac to always run 64-bit or do I have to manually do this each boot up; is FCP X only 64-bit therefore have to manually boot up my Mac to 64 each time I start the day (when using FCP X)?
Anything elese we should know re: running 64-bit on MAC PRO’s?
Thanks
