I’d buy the Sandisc Extreme. Never had a problem.
I don’t recommend Transcend anything. Poor quality control.
32 Gig will give you about 1 hr. 50 min.

OK, I’ll try to simplify the mud.
Always use the original BPAV folder for your archiving.
You don’t need to use the transfer tool for this. Just open the SxS card and copy the entire BPAV folder to your drive. After it’s copied, drag another copy (either from your drive or the SxS card) to your 2nd ARCHIVE or BACKUP drive. This will give you the backup of the original file.

Skater dolly’s are limited since the floor varies so much. It might be too bumpy.
You have to know you venue. I never shoot the entire event with a steadicam / glidecam set up. I’ll do a few shots ( bridal party down isle / bride down isle / fly by on the sides and that’s it. I shoot to edit, so I know I’ll only use about 3 shots max during the ceremony.
If you have a 2nd DSLR camera, why the heck is it in your bag? I have a trick up my sleeve, especially for those restrictive churches where you can’t move at all. I put a camera on a tripod than a 2nd on my slider on the floor. I use the floor angle to face the bridal party as they come down the isle, then from the back as the bride goes by. When I have my tripod cam framed up, I slide the slider out into the isle and get a few shots, then I’m done.
By having your extra camera already set up, you won’t have to fumble around swapping cameras. Or you might have to swap it from your steadicam to the slider. I also use my tripod as a monopod, so I can open the legs if needed and move.

I shoot 24p 1080p. But if you can match our cameras, it’s just a choice you have to make. You have to understand your equipment by shooting with both settings and find out which is the best for you personally.
It won’t make that much difference. If you edit with Final Cut, you can import to prores 422. The main problem you’ll have is your color, since you are shooting with two different cameras. Try to find the settings that match the best. Otherwise, you’ll have to color correct in post.

Did you copy the entire BPAV folder over to your drive? If you took out pieces of the folder, it won’t show up in the browser.

If you jump from an old upgrade and skip any upgrades in between, you’ll have a very bad day and your camera may cease to operate. So do you homework.

A lot of the issues with the Adapter’s are gone since the EX-1 & EX-3 had a firmware upgrade.
The confusing part is which SD cards to purchase. I purchased the Transcend cards, which gave me problems before the firmware upgrade, but seem to work fine after the upgrade. I use SanDisc on my canon 7D & 5D MII which have been solid. I would recommend buying a couple to try. If they work, then buy more.
The SxS cards have faster writing speeds. They are more durable. I only use the adapter when I have a long shoot and fill up my 32G SxS card.
If you have the budget, you might want to consider using the Nano Flash recorder. This will give you redundancy in recording, thus providing you with dual card recording. This is important when using media instead of tape. Sometimes, even with the best cards, errors occur and cards crash.
