Why not promote the area tourism and get your local city tourist council to pay you for the advertising?
Use that time to generate more revenue. Or, get other vendors to pay you to promote their business related products.

You can us a portable recorder such as the zoom H1 or H4n.
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/699403-REG/Zoom_H1_H1_Ultra_Portable_Digital_Audio.htmlPlug in the lav and insert into pocket.
I know many people who do this successfully, but I’m a bit old school when it comes to monitoring audio. I NEED to hear what I’m capturing in case issues arrise. I’m not comfortable just using a portable recorder that I HOPE is still working and capturing audio.
I have an EX1 for my main camera that I can use to capture with the wireless Lav while monitoring my audio levels. I use the other DSLR’s with an on camera mic for not so critical audio capture.

October 20, 2011 at 3:01 pm in reply to: 24p dslr and 30p XDCAM EX on same timeline, any setting suggestions ?It may be easier to down convert to 24p / vs. upconverting to 30p., but if you only have one cam at 24p, you may try converting it first to see your results. Convert it to XD Cam.
What NLE are you using?

Your profile has little to do with noise. Your db settings will have a big effect. This camera does well, even up to 12 db, even though I try not to go above 6 db.
If you are shooting in low light with no lighting, you are always going to have issues. You must light your subject appropriately for the best image possible.

Export a still image of the clip. Put the image in photoshop, use the eyedropper tool to match the color and create a still image with the same color. Drop the still below the cropped video clip. If it’s an even white color.

60 fps at 720p is the best you can do in these cameras. It will give you a little smoother slowmo, but not the amazing slomo of a high speed camera. You can cheat and use a software called Twixter to get some nice smooth slowmo, but it has a learning curve.

I don’t use clip browser. Since Final Cut now can do a log and transfer, I don’t have a need for it.
I make a folder with a title, the drag the BPAV folder into it. I don’t have a SxS card reader, so when I need to grab files off of my SxS card, I need to plug in the camera and copy it over. I use an SD card reader for my SD card adapter.
Once I have all my BPAV files transferred, I then back them up on my external drive, do a quick review to make sure the clips are there, and then delete my old clips from my cards to prep for the next shoot.
It’s nice to have an assistant, but they have to be trained and dependable.

Glidecam works great. They also make a vest for smoother shots, but with practice, you can get some great shots without the vest.

5D MkII has better color detail with the full sensor than the 7D or 60D. All are great camera.
If you have the budget, look at the Panasonic AF-100. Depending where you live, you should also consider renting a camera.
