I have 1394 control but it is not recording from the camera to the FS-4

I have tried to do that. It will not record. I set it just like the Panasonic specified with no luck. It is set onDVCPRO HD/60i.

Yeah, I will have to get there to run some tests. Thanks for the heads up. I sent a spare iMac tonight for them to eliminate that, and they said theyndid not have time to hook it up. The same video file to another campus runs with no problem at all. They run straight to the projector though. I suspect a bad card since we were having issues beforenthis current hookup.

yes a lot to process. 1st, the difference between the cameras was significant. I am capturing tonight from the Sony EX-3 to the FS 4 . It will not be in HDV now so I can see the difference. The settings are the same in the iMac at the venue. The problem was that there was a corrupt file in the Final Cut preferences. So I trashed preferences and did a disk repair and all is well with that now. Another thing that I found was that yes the Kramer was scaling to the 1280×720 and the installer used a VGA scaler to the projector instead of running DVI to the projector, so it is, out of the iMac, to the Kramer, out VGA to the HD projector. I have to change that as well.
