Does anyone know if it is possible to record from the Panasonic HPX300 to a Firestore FS-4 Pro Hd recorder? I am sure it would be better to record to the P2 card.

Sure. FW port out to the FS recorder.

It is MUCH better (reliable) to use P2 Cards instead.

That has been our experience as well as others I have read here.

I have tried to do that. It will not record. I set it just like the Panasonic specified with no luck. It is set onDVCPRO HD/60i.

Anyone else have any ideas? Coming from my Sony EX-3 it works fine.

To work with your camera you need to Firestore FS-100 not the FS-4.

    FS-4HD is for HDV cameras.

It will record DV for you not HD.

The FS-100 is for Panasonic DVCProHD cameras
