render issue
I have a weird Final Cut Issue. I have a video file that is captured through a Blackmagic Extreme card into Final Cut. All of a sudden when I add sequences like lower thirds and such, when I go to render, I get an annoying General Error 0 message constantly. My work flow is the same. I am using a Lacie Esata external. I am on a Quad Core Mac pro with 6 GB of ram and running Final Cut 7. Any ideas at all what is up ? I have tried trashing preferences, restarting etc…

This might be a case of corrupted media. Checkout Digital Rebellion’s FCS Maintenance Pack. There’s a Corrupt Clip Finder and they have a demo version. Also, using Render Manager, you might try trashing your renders and re-rendering.

OK, if you remove the title, and put on any filter (say a desaturation filter) and render, do you get the error?

If I remove a section of the text, it still gives me the error

Don’t remove a section, you need to remove all of it. DUpe the timeline if oyu have to . I am trying to nail it down to see if it’s Boris causing the error or not.
What format, frame rate, timeline settings are you using?
