That is how it is stabilizing your clip, by cropping the video and eliminating the shaking. Which version of Vegas are you using? I prefer the stabilization in Sony Vegas Video 10 the best (I purchased Vegas 11, but I still use 10 because I like it better). Tinker with the settings until you can get it to crop it the least.

I know this is an old post, but if I shoot in 60fps and want to render a clip at 30fps (half speed) for slow motion, I believe it makes sense to disable resampling, in this case, correct?
I understand what you’re saying about leaving smart resampling on for most cases, but I too agree that it muddies up my footage, whether it’s 720p at 60fps or 1080p at 30fps. (I’m always rendering my project to 30fps since it’s either for DVD or the web).
When I play back my AVCHD footage in Vegas with resampling on the quality appears to be far lower than if I play it back in the AVCCAM viewer, which I assume is not doing any resampling.

You have to apply it in the Media FX dropdown, not the Video FX for some reason in Vegas 11.
In Veags 10, you just went to Tools -> Video -> Stablize Media. Then you could turn the stabilization on and off as by changing the take. With Vegas 11, I don’t know how you can turn the stabilization off, since it appears to overwrite the original clip.

I’m going to try bumping this… Has anyone else used the stablization in Vegas 11? I’ve gone back to using Vegas 10 for now.

Here’s what Sony Customer Support told me:
“If you uninstall the Titler, reinstall it, and only enter the serial number when prompted during the installation process, you should not have that problem. This is an issue that has been brought to the attention of NewBlue, and we are anticipating an update from them in the very near future. However, in the meantime, if you only enter the serial number during the installation process and do not attempt to open any external registration engines, you should be able to use the plug-in within the Vegas software with no problem.”

The serial number provided by Sony does not work for me either. It worked during installation of NewBlueFX Titler Pro, but I cannot activate it with that serial number so I have to use the 14 day trial.

I’m still waiting for my Vegas 11 serial number. I bought Vegas 10 a few weeks ago from Videoguys.com because it came with a free upgrade to 11, but apparently Sony Customer support takes a while to respond.
I’m hoping they send it to me today.

What serial number do I use for NewBlue Titler Pro? My Vegas 11 serial apparently isn’t it.

Unfortunately I have not, so I’m sticking with Adobe After Effects.
