Thanks, Vince. So it looks like in addition to enabling track 2, you also have to disable track 1 for the multicam clips to properly display for footage that is on track 2, and vice versa for footage on track 1.

August 15, 2014 at 3:46 am in reply to: .mp4 in HTML5 incorrect dynamic range mapping on nVidia cardsNo, it’s not how I’m rendering and compressing. The mp4 file plays properly in QT, WMP, VLC, etc. as well as in browsers on Macs with AMD GPUs. It’s only when viewed in browsers on an nVidia GPU that it gets mapped improperly (.webm and .ogv versions of the videos map properly). It’s a lack of mapping between 16-235 and 0-255. I’d love to be proved wrong.
Is it not possible to apply a 3D LUT within code?

Hmm, yeah it could be that you need to replace the battery.
Bad or failing RAM will often cause restart or shutdown problems. Run the Apple Hardware Test, and run the extended RAM test:

I personally disable all energy savings management in my OS and RAID software, and shut down everything at night unless I’m leaving it to render, backup or scrub & parity check on the raid.
If you’re running Enterprise-class drives, leaving them running all night is not a concern really since they are specifically rated to run 24/7 operation. Consumer drives are not. Even with enterprise drives I shut down unless I have a reason not to.

Are you using OS 10.9.3? If so, upgrade to 10.9.4. I was constantly crashing in Audition in 10.9.3.
Did you delete your preferences? The freeware Preferences Manager is a great way to easily delete preferences (and save clean customized ones for restoring to).
Are you using any hardware for your audio i/o like BMD, AJA, etc.? If so make sure you have the latest driver.

Jim, in the Finder hold Alt/Option key while opening Go menu and you’ll see Library appear.

I’m not certain if there’s a link, but in the Premiere forum there are lots of users now describing the same issues, so perhaps it’s a larger issue with QT/Adobe.

I started having these issues yesterday. The link from Kevin mentions that it could be due to a BMD or AJA driver. I’m running 10.1.3 beta which is now removed from the BMD support page, so I wonder if they are related.
When exporting, I had opened Activity Monitor and saw that only the physical cores were rendering, so as mentioned in the link I’ll reduce the amount of cores that I’m using to see if that helps.

August 6, 2014 at 5:00 am in reply to: 2013 Mac Pro – D700 – AE reports GPU Total Memory at 2GBBut I’m assuming that if Ae is limiting dual d700s w/ 12gb of VRAM combined, then plugins like element 3d are limited to 1 gpu and 1.5 gb VRAM. It would be nice for Ae to at least properly see both gpus and all VRAM for the sake of plugins, even if Ae itself isn’t yet gpu or gpgpu optimized.

August 4, 2014 at 8:47 pm in reply to: Blackmagic, please add output conversion to your cards so that we can use them properly with Mercury TransmitThe latest beta driver (10.1.3) helped getting Mercury Transmit working properly with Premiere CC 2014, but I’m not having such luck with AE CC 2014. I’m using an Ultrastudio 4K, and my current project is 1080p 29.97. The preview monitor on the front of the Ultrastudio unit displays the output, but the TV connected to the HDMI output of the Ultrastudio isn’t able to receive the signal.
BMD, please fix this for the final release of 10.1.3.
