Oh, and I did capture w/ ProRes at 59.94. I’ve been doing this with my current setup for a couple of years using DVCPROHD and uncompressed and not had any problems like this.

Yeah, I know that. But, I’m working with footage from an Xbox 360 game which is capped at 1280×720 29.97 Hz rendering, so I’d prefer to edit at that frame rate so that I can get more out of my RT Extreme when editing and color correcting.

Actually an Xbox 360 dev kit. I’ve been using this setup for a couple of years without issues, so it must be something to do w/ ProRes. In the past I was using DVCPROHD and uncompressed.

I’m converting component video to SDI w/ an AJA HD10A, and then bringing that in via a Kona 2 w/ the Version 4.0 upgrade.

Well, the video isn’t exactly double speed, it varies per clip somewhere between double and triple speed. So in the browser, each clip has the exact same video and audio settings for everything except for the data rate which is 14.4 MB/sec (or close) for half the clips, and the others are random like 17.4 MB/sec, 12.2 MB/sec, 8.1 MB/sec.

Okay, I had a Noise Industries FXFactory trial installed and that was screwing it up.

Thanks, I’ll see if that solves the problem.

It would be a shame though, considering that Motion is specifically designed to work w/ a Wacom.

I just tried loading a Magic Bullet trial effect and it worked okay. I’ve also been able to use my DFT 55mm v6 filters okay so far. After playing w/ Color I’m confident that you’ll be able to emulate most all of the Magic Bullet looks w/ ease.

I forgot to mention that since I’m capturing footage from the game engines, I’m also responsible for setting up and operating the cg cameras for each shot.
