Magic Bullet in FCS2?
Posted by R. Taylor on May 23, 2007 at 9:15 pmHas anyone tried installing Magic Bullet Editors 2.1 in FCS2? I checked magic bullet’s site– and all it says is that there will be info on FCS2 posted soon. . .
I’m just wondering if anyone has tried it yet– and if it worked?
Thanks in advance for your help!

May 24, 2007 at 9:51 amA lot of plug-ins will need to be switched over to the FX Plugs architecture that is now in FCP 6. If they say information coming soon, I would suspect it’s best to wait until they update it. It might instal and it might operate, but odds are it will be unstable.

May 25, 2007 at 12:19 amI just tried loading a Magic Bullet trial effect and it worked okay. I’ve also been able to use my DFT 55mm v6 filters okay so far. After playing w/ Color I’m confident that you’ll be able to emulate most all of the Magic Bullet looks w/ ease.

May 31, 2007 at 9:18 amI’m interested in the “MisFire” effects–
Will color do that too?Red Giant just put a new note on their web page saying that Magic Bullet will run just fine. . .
I just loaded it on my FCP 6.0 and it works perfectly. . .Can anyone answer my question about Color creating “MisFire” effects?
Thanks,

May 31, 2007 at 12:53 pmColor is color grading software. Misfire adds film grain and dirt, splotches, scratches, etc. Color doesn’t do what Misfire does.
