Sure.

But the DH Subtitle PlugIn will allow you to add a “box” around the titles automatically (as well as put them in the same spot each time, automatically.)

If you don’t NEED a box around the titles,
I would not use any of the “native” FCP titlers under the “Text” pulldown (such as “lower 3rd”.)
You should use the “Title 3D” in FCP as it is a much better titler.

After you have made all the clips offline (removed from disk) go back and find the “Tracks” COLUMN in the Browser, select (highlight) all of the clips you want to change, and select the choice”1V, 2A”.

Then just Batch Capture WITH the “use logged clip settings” because you have changed them to what you WANT, now.

There are lots of wireless headsets out there but for reliability…

You can use regular headset TELEPHONES wired together.
You can even use Cordless Phones for this, but there’s always the danger that
there will be interference.

Its a simple matter to just connect as many standard telephones as you want (use standard telepnone cables to connect them) and you’ll have full duplex talk. (If you get headsets with “mute” buttons, your camera guys won’t be “breathing” in your ear the whole time.)

Buy phone cables, splitters and junction boxes at Radio Shack, Wal-Mart or (my favorate) the DOLLAR STORE.

You can power this with two 12-volt lantern batteries (in series to get 24v DC).
You’d connect the batteries right accross the red and green telephone lines.
Batteries work for HOURS.

You can use an AC-powered 24v DC Power Supply, but you need to “choke” (filter coil) the DC output so the capacitors in the power supply don’t “filter out” your audio.

You can buy cheap headset telephones ($4-$5 each) at discount stores (or Used for next-to-nothing.)

We use these telephone systems for all kinds of live events.

Most fonts have alternate letters with accents and punctuation.

Many times you can hit the “Option” key while hitting a letter to get to the alternate characters.
Go to the Mac’s “System Preferences” and choose “International”.

Otherwise, just Google for THOUSANDS of fonts of every kind avalible.

The following is a copied quote from the GL2 manual (pp 101-102).

You can record a video played on your VCR or analog camcorder (for digital camcorder, see p. 99)
or a TV program onto a tape in the GL2, if the TV or other device has audio/video outputs.
* If an anomalous signal is sent from the TV or VCR, the images recorded on the tape may also be
anomalous (although it may not appear so on the TV image), not recorded at all, or COPYRIGHT
PROTECTED DUBBING RESTRICTED may appear in the viewfinder.
*You cannot dub tapes recorded with the copyright protective signal.

1. Connect the camcorder to the VCR, TV or another camcorder.
2. Prepare the device. (Example connecting to a VCR)
* Set the TV/Video selector on the television to Video.
*Turn on the VCR. Load your recorded cassette, and put the VCR in playback pause mode.
*See your TV and VCR instruction manuals for details.
3. Slide the camcorderХs POWER switch to PLAY (VCR) and TAPE/CARD switch to

1. Try Adjusting the System Preferences “Monitors” on the Mac to a different size (resolution) so you can see the edges of the Viewer and Canvas.

2. Try adjusting the SIZE of the Viewer and Canvas by dragging the lower right corner.

In general, you can stop a render at most any point and FCP will “keep” the rendered section(s) and “pick up where it left off” when you start to render again.

If your FCP “froze” overnight, then the connection to any renders were likely lost.

Best is to start again.

(First, go to the Mac “System Preferences” and turn OFF any “sleep” settings.)

The “Overwrite with Transition” is designed to add an effect on ADJOINING clips.

You should not drop a sequence (or layer) with “gaps” onto this function.
